Enzymes improve nutrient uptake

In order to compensate for enzyme deficiencies in pigs and poultry, Berg + Schmidt has developed a multi-enzyme system that takes feed ration requirements into account; its characteristics include very high temperature resistance and stability even in low pH environments.

BergaZym for better feed conversion
BergaZym P splits the non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) in grain and oil seeds which cannot be broken down by the enzymes naturally present in the bodies of pigs and poultry; this releases valuable energy and proteins.

Moreover, the water bound to the NSPs is released in the intestine, thus reducing the viscosity of the chyme and speeding up passage through the intestine; this in turn results in better feed conversion. At the same time, fuller use of the water helps to keep the litter dry and slows the proliferation of undesirable microorganisms.
